PlayStation Vita, PS Vita – Intro to the Next-Gen Console

If perhaps there was a PlayStation Vita when I was a toddler. When I was little, my Dad would hog our Sega Mega Drive. The reality is, the sole method to obtain a take a look in was either a) to play against him, whereupon his very competitive dynamics would usually get the very best of him and he would certainly mercilessly harm you or b) awaken before he feel and have fun with really early in the morning. Needless to say I lived with much more than a number of early starts growing up. Acquiring the system evidently ‘for the kids’ he soon transformed his track as soon as he found the obsessive joys of early Sega classics most notably Sonic 2, Street Fighter and Golden Axe. In truth, the condition at some point got so poor that on at least two circumstances my Dad break open into the living area, glaring angrily at me and my brother in mid game and desired that we clean our bedroom, which has been, we were sure, in a messy and revolting state of anarchic disarray.

As we dutifully (and fearfully) scurried upstairs to treat this egregious oversight, only to seek out about three toys on the floor (that, for your record, I never keep in mind putting there!) we would return downstairs to discover our family patriarch about 3 levels in on ‘Streets Of Rage’. At after the dime would slump, and, as our protests fell on deaf ears, we knew we’d been had. For my Dad, PlayStation combat extended past the video games and to the war of actual existence.

Future young children is not going to face precisely the same fate, as current transportable games consoles are just spectacular. The Sony Vita, choosing up exactly where the hugely rewarded PSP left off, is one this kind of device. With the selection of quality video games provided that your arm (assuming you happen to be a relative of Reed Richards), the Sony Vita may be the Game Boy idea delivered to its definite, 21st century peak position. The Sony Vita also allows you to check out your emails, Facebook and even talk to friends by means of Skype. How’s that to get a extra?

The PlayStation Vita is brilliantly referred to as, stripped away from the Latin word for ‘life’, that is acceptable, as the Sony Vita is amongst the sole gaming systems geared up to come with you by way of it. Properly fitting into rucksacks, pockets, hand luggage and handbags, the Sony Vita delivers exceptional, games console-quality gaming in a portable package, of a variety that only my childhood imagination could have generated in your mind.

What makes PS Vita the next generation gaming console?

Recently, Sony PlayStation launched its much awaited handheld gaming console PlayStation Vita. I bought PS Vita immediately after release and based on my experience, I can surely tell you what all features make PS vita the next generation console. Let’s have a quick look at some of the highlights of PlayStation Vita:

Available in two editions, namely 3G/Wi-Fi model and Wi-Fi only

5-inch OLED touch screen with multi-touch capabilities

Front and rear camera

Dual analog sticks

Cross platform

3G/Wi-Fi model and Wi-Fi

PlayStation Vita is available in two different editions – 3G/Wi-Fi model and Wi-Fi only.

The 3G/Wi-Fi model is powered by AT&T’s mobile broadband network and costs around £280. While the edition that supports Wi-Fi only is available at a price of £230. When an AT&T DataConnect plan is activated on PS Vita, the users are provided with the Super Star Dust plus DLC, completely free.

Front and Rear Camera

PlayStation Vita is equipped with front and rear cameras, which give players a realistic gaming experience. I played Reality Fighters on my PS Vita, and loaded a self portrait as a character in the gameplay. This was definitely one of the most amazing gaming experiences ever.

The augmented realty makes PS Vita stand out in the crowd of handheld devices in the market.

Touch Screen with Multi-Touch Capabilities

The 5 inches OLED touch screen with multi-touch capabilities is quite impressive, and provides complete control on the game. PS Vita offers high definition resolution at 960 x 544, 220 pixels per inch, and is capable of displaying approx 16 million colors. What I have observed in the screen of PS Vita is that the images are highly sharp, and is equally vibrant colored from different angles.  Talking about the rear touch pad, you simply need to drag your fingers across the screen to enjoy your favorite game. The capacitive multi-touch functionality doesn’t disappoint at all, and gives smooth control on device.

Dual Analog Sticks

The dual analog sticks are one of the excellent features added in PS Vita. The thumb sticks give players full access on the game characters in action-shooter games. This was one feature I terribly missed in PSP, previous handheld device by PlayStation. The dual analog sticks are at a quite comfortable position of console, letting players enjoy the gameplay like never before.

Cross Platform

With cross platform feature, gamers can start playing their game on PS Vita from where they left it on their PS3 console. You can also compete in multiplayer games on PS Vita with opponents on PlayStation 3.

Lastly,  you can also download your favorite apps on PS Vita including Facebook, Twitter and Flicker. This gives you freedom to share your score with friends directly through these amazing apps. All in all, PlayStation Vita stands tall in my expectations, and includes everything needed to be the next generation gaming console.
