Twisted Metal PlayStation 3 Game
Twisted Metal (sometimes referred to as “Twisted Metal PS3″) is an upcoming vehicle combat video game developed by Eat Sleep Play and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3. In maddening series of this game, this is the eighth episode of Twisted Metal. It’s getting crazier by the installment. The initial plan of releasing the game in October 2011 has been rescheduled to mid February 2012.
Twisted metal revolves around the Calypso’s Twisted Metal Tournament. David Jaffe confides that violence and destruction of the original plot remains unhindered. As in 21st century road rage has taken more outrageous turn, video games like Interstate and Carmageddon hit the road to satisfy violence-mongering video gamers.
PlayStation has successfully added fuel to the fire by deciding to launch the mother of all destructive road rage video games; Twisted Metal.
The aim, obliterate fellow road users. What you can’t do in reality, beat the hell out of the guy who cut in front of you on road, twisted metal will give you a chance to exact your revenge. Mad Max on steroids style!
Twisted Metal plot is pretty simple. There is hardly a story like the wonder years or bold and beautiful. Kill or get killed. Simple, isn’t it?
Original venue of this PlayStation game was Las Angeles, where contestants were confined to a futuristic arena using heavily armed mayhem machines. The last man standing claimed the glory automatically.
With changing time, PlayStation took the game to the global audience by adding motor hot spots like Paris, Hong Kong and a Soviet era missile pad.
Now, you have the option of choosing from 12 monster vehicles, with view of driver driven by sole motive of destruction. You can pick car health, bunker buster bombs, ultimate weapons of wild destruction. The movie Transporter would seem like a monk’s pilgrimage compared to this game’s wicked violence.
The race is not just to be won; it has to be snatched from jaws of death. Apart from picking on other contestants, some of you can fulfill your sadist desires, as there are pedestrians and skateboarders that you can almost run-over. Not that they get crushed with squish sound, but they seem to collect the momentum transferred by your mad machine.
Another thing that I realized is that this game transforms into an effective Hollywood action flick with 3Dfx card. The madness gets more realistic with superb detailing and high resolution.
The game will only feature a small amount of characters to play, though they have the option of faction game play online. The characters set to appear are Dollface (The Dolls), Sweet Tooth (The Clowns), Mr. Grimm (The Skulls) and the Preacher (The Holy Men).
Each twisted metal characters will have a storyline that can end in three different ways depending on action in the game.
Twisted Arsenal – You can choose from 17 vehicles, each loaded with an arsenal of weapons that includes heat seeking missiles, rodent rockets and shockwave blows.
Extreme Scale & Destruction – Unleash massive amounts of destruction on the world like an exploding Ferris wheel, decapitated Statue of Liberty, and destroyed rollercoaster.
Customization – Enter the custom shop of Sweet Tooth’s and create your own weapon of mass destruction to play with online.
